unsere Tochter (15) ist für einen High School Austausch in den USA angemeldet. Die amerikanische Orga möchte (über die deutsche Orga vermittelt), dass wir folgenden Wortlaut unterzeichnen:
This Temporary Guardianship Letter will serve as a legal and binding document that will allow them [the host family] to obtain medical treatment and to make any decisions regarding the medical and educational needs of the child for this period.
Da das unserer Meinung nach extrem weit gefasst ist und sämtliche medizinische Entscheidungen an die Host Familie überträgt, sind wir unsicher, ob wir dies tatsächlich so unterschreiben sollen.
Daher die Fragen: Musstet Ihr ähnliche Freigaben unterschreiben und sollten wir ggf. auf eine stärkere Eingrenzung bestehen?
Wir haben auch eine Medical Release Authorization unterschreiben müssen. Allerdings wird hier medizinisches Personal einbezogen.
Der Wortlaut ist:
We, as parents/guardian of undersigned student, do authorize the (US Orga) staff, the American sponsoring host parents, and the (US Orga) Area Representative as agents of the undersigned parents, to consent to any X-ray examinations or hospital care which is deemed advisable by, and is rendered under the general supervision of any licensed physician or surgeon, whether such treatment or diagnosis is rendered at the office of said physician or surgeon or at a hospital.

It is understood that this authorization is not given in advance of any specific diagnosis, treatment or hospital care being required, but is given to provide authority and power on the part of aforesaid agents to give specific consent to any and all such diagnosis, treatment or hospital care which the aforementioned physician or surgeon in the exercise of his/her best judgment may deem advisable.
