Parentletter- DRINGEND

Viel Erfolg!
Dear host-family,

first of all we’d like to thank you very much for your willingness to host our daughter during her stay in Australia. We support Nina’s wish to live in another country and we hope that there will be a good understanding between you and our daughter.
In this letter we will try to describe Nina to you as good as we can.
She is an independent and uncomplicated girl and we’re sure that she will do her best to integrate herself in your family. Last year Nina had to change her school and she had a lot of catching up to do, because the school system in Germany is a little different in every area. But she managed to settle in and we’re very proud of her because of the good grades she got even though she was behind her classmates in almost every subject.
In the summer of 2007 Nina spent three weeks in an English host-family without having any complications. Now her school is willing to let her visit another country for 5 Months – to go to Australia. When she asked us whether she could do this, there was a short discussion in the family but we decided very quickly that it would only be to our daughter’s best to experience life in a foreign country. Ever since that Nina has been doing everything to make her dream come true and we’d be very glad, if she was given the chance. We’ve heard a lot of good things about Australia and feel save to let Nina go there!
Nina is always willing to help others if they have problems. She will stand up for others if she thinks they’ve been treated unfairly. Maybe once in a while you will have to give her a little push when it comes to her duties in the household, but then she will definitely do them properly and without complaining.
Family-life is very important to us and we hope, that Nina will make a good contribution to your family, too!
If there are any problems during the next five months, don’t be afraid to contact us and we will do our best to solve any disagreements or arguments.
We hope that you will have a great time with our daughter and once again thank you for offering her a home in your family!

We look forward to getting to know you soon!

Kind regards,

lg
Nina
