mich würde mal interessieren was ihr ( die gerade ín den usa sind oder sie was darüber wissen ) fürne fächer gewählt habt ???

also ich bin grad in den USA…
Ich hab Us history und Englisch(das sind pflichtfaecher fuer jeden austauschshcueler…)dann hab ich kunst, chemie2(aber das ist echt immer noch zu einfach),Studyhall(da kannst hausaufgaben machen oder in meiner schule den pc benutzen um deinen freunden zuschreiben in deutschland), dann hab ich calculus(das ist mathe, versuch nicht mit algebra oder geometry, versuch precalc oder calculus) und dann hab ich franzoesisch im 4. jahr aber das ist auch sehr einfach

    Vocal Chorus (also Chor)

Erstes semster war recht leicht :grin: mal sehen wie das zweite wird. aber ausser English is es nich anspruchsvoll. DIe schule is hier aber trotzdem schwerer als erwartet. so ganz ohne was tun, kommste hier net durch

Hey

Ich hab ziemlich leichte Kurse genommen weil ich nicht wusste ob ich mit schwierigeren zurecht kommen wuerde, aber es hat sich herausgestellt, dass es ziemlich einfach ist. Und es wurde mir gesagt, dass ich keine Honors Kurse nehmen duerfte, was aber nicht stimmte und ich es nichtwissend getan habe.

  1. French 4 Honors
  2. english 9 (Englisch fuer 9t Klaessler, einer meiner groessten fehler. Bin die beste in der Klasse, weil halt alle in der neunten sind.
  3. Foods for a lifetime\ Phys Ed
  4. World history
  5. German Honors (hab ich erst spaeter genommen weil ich in meiner study hall gelnagweilt war, macht aber richtig Spass)
  6. Biology
  7. Precalculus
  8. Study hall

mein ratschlag: Traut euch was zu, auch wenns am Anfang schwer ist, besonders wenn man einen Sport zusaetzlich hat, aber nach einiger Zeit wirs alles Routine und man merkt wie leicht es doch ist.

Also ich hatte im ersten Term:

1.English( kind of international English! Because they put all the exchangestudents and the people who are from another country together)
2.Physical Education( wie Sport in Deutschland, we played Volleyball, went biking, rollerblading, kickboxing, paddleball, schwimming, weightlifting, running, etc.)
3. US History( really boring and I was a little bit upsed about the way they teach the students the american history and especially the view of everything. We learned in the entire time nearly the same thing. We only talked about ~20 years in the Civil War)
4. Math, Pre-calculus( at the beginning it is a little bit hard, because you have to learn all the speciall words and especially how to handle the calculator)

zweites Term:

  1. Math, Pre-calculus( the same than in term 1)
  2. Communisation-Technology( we taped our own vdeo, we are making our own t-shirtdesign, powerpointpresentation, i-movies, etc.)
  3. Adult recreation( that’s the best class ever. We have so much fun and you can’t really count it as a class. We play games, go bowling, go snowshoeing, geocaching, kompasswork, outdoorcooking, usw.)
  4. Astrobiologyphysics( everything about space, spaceshuttles, life in space, we do laps(=experimente) for space, etc.)

I haven’t decided for my next term, but probably:
Eglish 3
Math- Calculus
Franzoesisch or Spanish
and maybe CAD, Chior, Teamsport, etc. i will see

I hope that I could help you a little bit and give you some information about different classes!
Enjoy your high-school-year! It will be one of your best experiences of your life and nobody can take it away from you! Try all new things that are possible! And don’t think too much!(I hope you don’t missounderstand this. I just mean: Mnachmal denkt man sich soll ich mich das wirklich „trauen“, aber denke Dir nur, ich bin hier „nur“ fuer ein Jahr und es soll mein beste Jahr werden!Es soll mich nicht stoeren was andere Leute ueber mich denken!)

ja…ich muss mathe(geometry) franze, english, bio, history waehlen fuer deutschland,den rest hab ich einfach genommen weil es coole klassen sind :grinning:
